A lawyer and father of two, Phil is known to east-end locals as a progressive advocate, both inside and outside of schools. He has been a voice for direct funding and revenue tools to clear the TDSB disrepair backlog and fix overcrowding at schools in intensifying neighbourhoods, for infrastructure and policies to improve safety for kids en-route to school, and for policies and investment calculated to give students struggling with racism, homophobia, poverty and other systemic disadvantage a real and equitable chance to succeed.
Phil is a former Board Member with the South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario and governing Councillor with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects. He is presently Chair of Visioning (on leave) for the Danforth Village Community Association and Chair of the Overcrowding Committee at Secord Elementary School.
Please join Phil– in working to improve our schools and children’s lives in Beaches-East York (TDSB Ward 16).
